BATA: is the economic capital of Equatorial Guinea and seat of the national parliament. Bata is also the capital of the mainland region, the largest part of the country called Rio Muni, and the largest and most populous city in Equatorial Guinea, ahead of Malabo, capital of the country and of the province of Bioko Norte (located on Bioko Island). The historic city of Bata also serves as the capital of the Littoral Province.

TOURISM, PLACES OF INTEREST: Bata or better known by its inhabitants as the city of love in Equatorial Guinea, consists of the longest promenade in Central Africa. You can visit the national park of Mount Alen or marvel at its architectural monuments such as the great Bata Stadium located in the sports city, the Freedom Tower or the Cathedral of St. Peter.

ACCOMMODATION: The city of love, apart from its many charms, is famous for the large number of lodging companies that operate in it, affordable for any pocket and any taste. Among its wonderful hotels is the Panáfrica Hotel with wonderful views of the sea, a few meters from it is the IBIS Hotel.

The promenade is embellished with the gigantic VISTAMAR hotel and in the commercial area, a few steps from the historical monument of the Clock Square, we find the Elik Melen tourist complex.

GASTRONOMY: enjoy the gastronomic richness of the area by visiting the famous restaurant La Corisqueña on the beach of Bome, the restaurant La Ferme or the facilities of the Galeries I&R.

CLIMATE: In Bata, summers are hot; rainfall is long and hot and it is oppressive, wet and cloudy throughout the year. During the course of the year, the temperature generally varies from 23°C to 31°C and rarely drops below 22°C or rises above 32°C.
